On March, 29th and 30th 2012 took place in Metz the 2nd sustainable building forum of the competitiveness clusters, the annual event which allows to present to the whole actors of the construction the innovative solutions developed by the actors of the competitiveness clusters in all domains of building.
240 professionals of the building’s sector come for the entire France but also bordering countries gathered in Metz for this opportunity. "Emerged part" for the Sustainable Building Forum of the Competitiveness Clusters, the Sustainable Building Forum 2012 allowed to value and promote actions of the competitiveness clusters while strengthening the Network and by allowing to favor the exchanges between the poles of the network, to confront their best practice, in particular with foreign examples, to identify their complementarities and to strengthen the cooperations inter-poles in terms of research and innovation joint projects.
For the territory, this forum constituted an opportunity and a shop window to show how companies, laboratories, regions and conglomerations put a lot into the sustainable building, the ecodistricts and the sustainable city.
The forum Sustainable Building 2012 took back what made the success of the first edition, and what constitutes unmistakably its DNA and its originality, namely the presentation of the innovations born within the competitiveness clusters working in the field of the sustainable building.
The novelties 2012 :
- A wider square for the exchanges. To do it, the duration of workshops was lengthened, business meetings were organized and an informal moment to the Pompidou Center was proposed.
- Workshops on cross-functional themes were proposed : formation, normalization / regimentation / certification and insurance, feedback experiences, organization of the sector...
- A central subject, the Europe, in particular through opportunities of cooperations between France and bordering countries.
- The welcome - on the initiative of clusters which are members of the Sustainable Building Network - the members of the Inter Cluster Plan Bâtiment Grenelle, national network of exchange accompanying the actors of the construction and the arrangement on the problem of the energy efficiency.
The Sustainable building Forum of the competitiveness clusters aroused, for the 2nd consecutive year, a big interest on behalf of the participants. It prouve, as indicated it one of this participants, as "the Forum found its positioning". The forum has to continue to dig its furrow, that means to represent the emerged part of the iceberg of the Sustainable Building Network of the Competitiveness Clusters. The Forum has to become an major meeting for the actors of the profession ; a next edition is already planned in Aquitaine in 2013, under the presidency of Xylofutur.
